Case Study: NFL FLAG Football
Situation
NFL FLAG Football is the premier youth football league for boys and girls ages 5-17. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork. Orases was brought in to help define a new interactive environment to be built from the ground up to support this program. The NFL was looking for ways to increase functionality and reduce the overall cost of ownership.
Consultation
Orases spent over two months with key members of the NFL FLAG Team as well as league organizers all across the country to defi ne the project requirements. The website was created with a multi-level approach to support NFL FLAG, League Organizers and parents who are signing up their kids. In addition, this website supports Regional and National Tournament as well as web service integration with a 3rd party fulfillment house.
Solution
Orases created an innovative website that focused on four key initiatives:
- Simplifying the registration process for a League Organizers to create a league, manage player registration and order NFL FLAG jerseys.
- Simplifying the registration process for parents to register their kids.
- Enhancing the resources available to League Organizers including FREE League, Club and Team websites for every NFL FLAG League.
- Strengthening the customer service of NFL FLAG to the league organizers and enhancing the overall reporting and metrics to track the program.
Results
The NFL FLAG website launched in January 2011. Since the launch, the website has managed the following: (as of 4/15/2011)
- 1,206 Organizations
- 263,397 Contacts including:
- 215,736 are Players
- 37,390 are Parents
- 7,774 are Coaches
- 1,703 are League Organizers
- 204 are Co-organizers
- 253 are Officials
