Goodbye Steve Jobs

Posted in: Culture

The Orases team wanted to reach out to the rest of the world and say goodbye to Steve Jobs.  Steve is considered by many the Thomas Edison of our time.  America and the world were very lucky to have him as a creative and technology leader.  It is apparent to us all that Steve has really changed all of our lives in all of the products that he has brought to us over the years.  The Apple computer, OS X, iTouch, iPod, iPad and the almighty iPhone.  Pixar, Toy Story, Up and many other stories that I share with my kids.

Steve has proven to the world that creating something is just not good enough. Integrating wonderful design along with ingenious engineering is truly magical.  Steve was a dreamer and he opened his world of innovation and shared his excitement of new product launches through worldwide broadcasted keynotes. He brought us closer to our music with iTunes and iPods and to each other with iPads and iPhones. I myself use FaceTime with my family when I am on travel.

Jobs was also a fan of The Beatles. He referred to them on multiple occasions at Keynotes and also was interviewed on a showing of a Paul McCartney concert. When asked about his business model on 60 Minutes.

My model for business is The Beatles: They were four guys that kept each other's negative tendencies in check; they balanced each other. And the total was greater than the sum of the parts. Great things in business are not done by one person, they are done by a team of people.

Thank you Steve for inspiring all of us to be better, to think better, design better and to dream the impossible when no-body else believed it possible.
