Our Process

At Orases, we believe that a successful project requires careful planning and identifiable objectives from the very beginning. To that end, we work closely with our clients to systematically identify strengths and weaknesses, short and long-term goals, as well as technical and financial parameters. Our approach is based on asking questions and listening to their answers. Based on the information gained, we then recommend a customized action plan that is designed to increase your business and maximize your brand. Although our approach may vary slightly from client to client, depending on their specific needs and styles, our unique 5-phase process typically includes the following five phases:

Our Process

Phase 1: Discovery (Listen and Learn)

During this critical phase, we listen and learn about your business. This helps us to identify which interactive business and technology solutions will best advance and support the goals and objectives of your business. The project begins with the establishment of a very clear understanding of all project requirements and expectations. These are gathered and documented through a series of meetings and teleconferences with all concerned parties. In addition, we conduct high-level research into competitive and/or similar products, in order to firmly establish the playing field and clarify end-user expectations.

Phase 2: Design and Collaborate

In this phase, we prepare project specifications, prototype designs and system integration outlines, in collaboration with you, that are then submitted for your approval. The design phase takes into account all of the considerations established in the discovery phase and evolves them into a series of graphics that demonstrate the design approach. This cycle will continue until the look and feel is established and everyone is comfortable with the direction of the project.

Phase 3: Development and Implementation

In order to ensure successful implementation and introduction, we build, test, deploy and train.

Now we move in to the development phase – this is where the magic happens! At the end of this phase, the majority of the project is functional and ready for review. Orases encourages clients to participate in the beta testing whenever possible, to ensure that all potential issues are brought forth prior to deployment.

Phase 4: Quality Assurance and Deployment

In this phase, we exhaustively review, test and correct all content and functionality on all supported platforms and/or browsers. Orases uses an online issue log, where team members, beta testers and others reviewing the project can post any issues or problems they find to a central location. This ensures that everything is addressed and that it is done so in a timely manner.

Phase 5: Monitor, Evolve and Support

Because your business and technology are evolving so must your interactive business and technology solutions. We will continue to work in collaboration; to listen, learn and evolve a distinct competitive advantage for your business.

After the project goes into production, the usage monitoring and support team are prepared to handle any issues that arise. Experience (both with our own projects and with outside support groups) tells us that although the majority of post-launch issues that arise are due to end-user system configuration or operation, it is important to treat any reported error or difficulty as a potential flaw, either in design or in programming, and review it carefully.
